ST51 Industrial Networking using Modicon Modbus Plus (4 days)

This course will provide the learner with the hands on skills required to plan and implement an industrial network and specify the network, components based on Modicon's Modbus Plus. In addition, the course will enable the learner to write ladder logic program to initiate Modbus Plus messages.

Module Content:

1. Describe the Modbus Plus hardware and the Modbus Plus specifications.
2. Adjust the Modbus Plus addressing switches on a SA85-000 network adapter.
3.  After the Modbus communication parameter switches.
4. Install the SA85-00 network adapter into an IBM computer.
5. Install and test the SA85 software.
6. Install inline and terminator connectors.
7. Use a DMM to verifty the cable installation.
8. Utilize the MSTR Block to write output registers from one node to another.
9. Utilize the MSTR Block to read output registers from one node to another.
10. Utilize the MSTR Block to write to the Global Database.
11. Utilize the MSTR Block to read the Global Database.
12. Employ the MBPSTAT program to evaluate the Modbus Plus Network.
13. Read local and remote statistics.
