Visa Applications Made Easier for Students in India
Cambrian College is pleased to announce that it will be working with the Canadian High Commission in India to support students to obtain their study permit. Under the Student Partners Program (SPP) students in India will receive "special attention" and their applications are likely to be successful if they meet the criteria established by the SPP.
What is Student Partners Program?
The Student Partners Program is a scheme developed in partnership between the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC), the Government of Canada and the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi. The objective is to increase the number of study permits and to make the system more efficient. As a partner institution Cambrian College will work closely with visa offices in New Delhi and Chandigarh to ensure that students receive their visa/study permit (provided they meet all of the SPP requirements).
Who can apply?
- Citizens of India wishing to study at Cambrian College as a full-time student can apply. Applications can be sent to visa offices in New Delhi or Chandigarh according to the applicant's place of residence.
What needs to be included in a Student Partner Application?
- Please see the Student Partners Program (SPP) check list of documents. The check list is the identifier of the Student Partners Program so it is very important that the check list, specific to this program, be included at the top of every application.
- If an application is received with the Student Partner Checklist but not meeting the program criteria, the application will be processed in our regular student stream. Careful tracking of Student Partners Program applications will take place so that we can provide members with information regarding how many applications were received under the program as well as how many applicants met and did not meet program criteria.
Where can an applicant submit a Student Partners Program application?
We recommend that Student Partners Program applications be submitted to Mr. Deepak Jain, our representative in New Delhi. He can be contacted at:
