What an exciting time for Cambrian College…this year marks a decade of providing educational programs in India. We are most proud of this accomplishment, and we are pleased to celebrate our educational success with our international partners.

In 1995, Cambrian College began our international efforts with a modest educational presence at Nachimuthu Polytechnic in Tamil Nadu, India. Today, we are offering approved programs in Tamil Nadu and in Punjab, and we plan to expand our programs in Delhi and Pondicherry. We thank all of our partners in India who have opened their doors to us.

We are equally proud to announce that Professor Krishna, the Director of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which regulates the delivery of technical education programs in India, made a formal statement at a meeting in New Delhi on October 21, 2005. He stated that some selected Cambrian College programs that require AICTE’s approval have met the requirements. We thank AICTE for its continued support.

Cambrian continues to provide new world-wide opportunities to our students. Recently, agreements were signed with institutions in Australia, Finland, Mexico, Spain, and South Africa, providing our students with opportunities for international educational opportunities and exposure.
We welcome Governor’s College, our new partner in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Through this partnership, students can start their Canadian education in Sri Lanka and transfer to Cambrian College after two semesters of study. This gives our students in Sri Lanka to access to a quality education both in Sri Lanka and in Canada.

Today, Cambrian offers close to 90 programs, and has now added a new Bachelor of Applied Technology – Science and Technological Education (BATech) program and a new Health Information Management program to our offerings. Of value to our students are our partnership agreements with universities in Canada and the United States, which give our international students degree-completion options. This year, Cambrian has signed a number of new agreements and, on a regular basis, we continue to add to our college/university agreements. Cambrian International

We're exporting our programs and services overseas: to Asia... to India…to China... to Africa... to the Middle East...to South America.

Recently Cambrian College signed agreements with partners in India, Finland, South Africa, Mexico, Spain, and Australia.

Cambrian's International Focus

Our international activities fall into one of the following four focus areas:

• Internationalization of the College and community
  This includes student placements, a workshop series for the community and secondary schools, in-class presentations, staff development seminars, special events, and curriculum consultations.

• International consultancy and project management
  Cambrian has implemented projects in several countries including Peru, India, and Chile.

• Exporting programs and services
  We are currently delivering our programs, through international partnerships, in India and Sri Lanka.

• International Student Recruiting
  Cambrian welcomes students from all countries and is currently pursuing targeted recruiting activities in a number of countries.
