The tuition does not include the cost of:

We estimate that one year of study at Cambrian College in Canada will cost you approximately CAD$19,000, including tuition, books, accommodations, etc. This may vary depending on your personal situation and preferences. See insert for a breakdown of these expenses. By sending us your application, you are implying your understanding of this financial commitment and your ability to meet your financial obligations.
The tuition fee for international students at Cambrian College is $9,723.91 for the 2009-10 academic year (8 months) for most programs. Note: this amount includes mandatory health insurance coverage for the year.
Once students have received an offer of admission, a confirmation fee of $500 is required to reserve their seat in the program. This amount will be deducted from the total tuition upon registration. The deposit fee is not transferable to another academic year and is partially refundable ($350) only if you are unable to obtain a student authorization (a copy of the refusal letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada is required for reimbursement). The fee is fully refundable only if Cambrian cancels or suspends the program. No other refunds will be issued.
Note: The fees for some programs may be different than that quoted above. The amount can be confirmed with the Cambrian International Office.
Financial planning is an integral part of preparing for your post secondary studies. Determining what your expenses and sources of income will be is just as crucial to a positive college experience as are researching your intended program of study and learning more about the campus and about Canada.
You should be aware that all international students who apply to study in Canada must have sufficient resources to be self-reliant in order to obtain a Study Permit. International students are not eligible for Ontario provincial financial aid and many other forms of financial assistance which may be available to Canadian students. Students are eligible to work off campus (some restrictions apply). For further information, contact your nearest Citizenship and Immigration Canada office .
Cambrian College is committed to ensuring you have a positive learning experience during your stay with us. For this reason, we must advise you that failure to meet your financial responsibility with the College may result in the termination of your acceptance and, therefore, of your Canadian Study Permit. To avoid this, please plan your finances carefully prior to traveling to Canada and be ready to meet all your financial obligations.
Fees can be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express), certified cheque, bank draft or money order (made payable to Cambrian College), or by electronic transfer.
If paying by electronic transfer, you will need the following information. Please ensure that you transfer sufficient funds to cover any bank charges for the service:
Royal BankTransit or Branch #04982
Account #000-017-4
It is easier and quicker for us if you pay your fees in Canadian funds. However, if paying in non-Canadian funds, please ask your bank to convert to Canadian or US funds. Because of the fluctuating nature of the dollar, we are unable to provide exact equivalents in currency other than Canadian.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the amount converted covers the amount owing. Failure to do so will delay the processing of your deposit. We will not be able to move you forward in the application process until our bank has converted your funds to Canadian equivalents.
Regretfully, Cambrian is unable to provide financial assistance
or scholarships to International students. Only students who have paid
their fees and are in at least their 2nd semester of studies may be eligible.
It is your responsibility to identify, research and secure sponsorships
and bursaries to support your studies. As a first step, you may wish to
contact the Canadian Embassy nearest you or to contact your own country’s
Embassy in Canada for guidance in this area. Other sources may also be
available; however, we are unable to maintain a current list of these possible
sources.
International students are not covered under the Ontario health system and must purchase insurance coverage individually. This is mandatory and already included in the tuition fee.
All amounts are quoted in Canadian funds and are listed for reference only. They may be subject to change.
