TIPS TO HELP YOU GET STARTED:

Going to be teaching in a hi-tech classroom next semester?

Thinking about teaching in a hi-tech classroom in the near future?

  1. Pick up cabinet (instructor podium) key and door combination from Physical Resources, room 1422
  2. Pick up a "resource sheet" for the hi-tech classroom from Information Systems, room 2175
  3. Allow lots of lead time for the first few times you'll be teaching - for setup and practice. There may be some free time after 4:00pm and before 6:00 pm to "test drive" your teaching tools.
  4. View the "light-hearted" 20-minute "Screen Police" video tape to give you some ideas on presentation technology "do's and don'ts"
  1. Attend a "hi-tech classroom" or "projector & PC combo" qualification workshop/orientation. See Bruce Streitenberger for details.
  2. Sit in on a hi-tech classroom session with students and see how other faculty are doing it. See Greg Cooper for ideas.
  3. "Test drive" a hi-tech classroom yourself. Best times during a semester may be between 4:00-6:00pm
