"Having the assistance of an experienced html coder made the process much more manageable: I was able to draw storyboards and think about design without fearing that I would be unable to produce the pages I had imagined. It was a relief to just think
about design--using my limited experience of using the web in educational settings, plus the design book by Siegel as a source of ideas--, then ask the coder how realistic my desires were. As it turned out, he was able and willing to accomplish almost exactly what I had hoped for "
" you have formed a community of people considering similar questions, a kind of critical mass which has allowed for productive discussion "
" take more advantage of the terrific learning experience. Students will be working right up to the last minute to complete their first attempt at the creation of a home page. The opportunity and the experience is invaluable. The time frame, a challenge, but they would all do it again..."

" It was interesting to see what others had done with instructional goals in mind. I was wishing I could find more time to go to more workshops but it was a busy semester for me "
" My main problem is in not having time to work on this "
" I am glad I have some conceptual knowledge of what using HTML involves ."
"...an example of how money can be leveraged to accomplish specific goals campus wide.... caused us to focus on realizable goals, to generate a strategy, and most importantly to get started "
" brownbag session on student perspectives on the Web to be very enlightening. The students' comments and cautions were on my mind as I designed the Web page "
" For those of us with a full teaching load, time was a problem "
" What we did not have was sufficient help to get basic work completed, such as scanning images and text, and editting these, so as to create the necessary library of files to create a visually exciting page "
" Significant time was spent here in the department, coordinating with faculty and alone as site author, planning the goals and structure of the site, and researching references before significant site production was performed "
" I think more hands on, one on one instruction geared to actual problems and steps in design and implementation of individual projects would be very useful "
