About Us

The Cambrian College Alumni Association provides a connection for Cambrian Graduates to "Keep in Touch" with their Alma Mater. The Association continuously negotiates benefits on behalf of its members. We host a variety of special events that promote Cambrian, its students and its alumni and strongly encourage our members to update their files and take an active role with their Association.

The Alumni Association has secured College services that our graduates appreciated as students. With their Alumni Identification, our members can obtain computer lab access, borrowing privileges from the Library, Career Service assistance and much more from the domains of Cambrian College.

The Alumni Association has established a number of quality partnerships with various organizations. Members that take advantage of our Affinity Partnerships are benefiting both themselves and the Association as a whole. Negotiations continue with various organizations to establish benefits that our members will value.

Respecting Alumni Information Privacy and Confidentiality

The Cambrian Alumni Association has been on an ongoing campaign to update information on all of our members. Updates are done through efforts of our call centre staff – Cambrian students working four nights a week, while other information is updated on our website www.went2cambrian.com and still other information is collected during special events.The information collected is kept on our confidential database called Raiser’s Edge. Access to this information is confined to staff at the Cambrian Foundation and The Cambrian Alumni Association where the database is physically housed. All staff members sign confidentiality and non-disclosure documentation to safeguard your information.While the Alumni information contained on the database is not sold or traded with outside organizations it is provided, from time-to-time, under strict non-disclosure, to selected affinity partners that have contractual arrangements with the Cambrian Alumni Association to provide a service to our alumni.

The Alumni Association has established a number of quality partnerships with various organizations. Members participating in our affinity partnership offerings by purchasing quality products and services also assist the Alumni Association through the commissions that we receive. Affinity Partner Contact

On occasion, Cambrian Alumni Association authorizes its affinity partners to conduct direct mail, email or telemarketing campaigns, which may target specific alumni groups based on a predetermined criteria (postal code et cetera). However, at no point does the Cambrian Alumni Association provide confidential alumni information directly to these companies. We have signed a strict confidentiality agreements with bonded third-party mailing houses and telemarketing firms who act as agents for the Cambrian Alumni Association for the purpose of conducting these marketing campaigns. The information they receive from the Cambrian Alumni Association is used only by them and only for the purpose for which it was granted.

Confidentiality of Mailing Lists

All Cambrian College Alumni Association Alumni information (including mailing addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers) is held in strict confidence by the Alumni Office located at the Cambrian Foundations’ Raiser’s Edge Software system. Any and all contact between our affinity partners and the Cambrian College Alumni Association is only at the request of the Alumni Office. The Cambrian College Alumni Association approves all mailings, marketing materials, and telephone scripts before any contact is made with Cambrian College Alumni Association’s members.

Opting Out

If Cambrian College Alumni members so choose, they can opt out of Affinity Partner contact or from general Association communications (Examples; Special Event e-mails and The Grad Magazine) by calling 705 566-8101, extension 7208 or e-mailing alumni@cambriancollege.ca
