Cambrian Alumnae, Mia Oliver is... making ‘tracks’ around the world

Mia OliverCambrian Alumnae, Mia Oliver, a graduate of the Physical Fitness and Leisure Management program in 1995, has been making 'tracks' around the world. As a former high school athlete, Mia competed in downhill skiing on the Inco Cup Circuit and ran track. Beyond high school, Mia never thought that she would be competing outside the Northern Secondary Schools' Association. Never say never-- Mia is now competing in dual and tri athlete competitions. In the summer of 1998 Mia entered her first triathlon and has found her niche in the competitive world of athletics."I loved the sport instantly and it became such a big part of my life," she says."I really focused everything into training."

The Cambrian College Alumni Association and the Physical Fitness Management program have recently supported Mia's endeavors with a sponsorship fund. We recognize Mia for all her hard work and dedication and wish her all the best with her competitions.
