The Cambrian College Alumni Association Celebrates Success

The Cambrian College's 2001 Premier's Award nominees were recognized by the Cambrian College Alumni Association with a fabulous dinner prepared by the students of Cambrian's own Fontaine Bleue dining room. The Premier's Awards is an annual provincial award program that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from Ontario's Applied Arts and Technology Colleges. The winning nominees from each college then move on to the provincial selection committee to compete against all Ontario colleges.

Cambrian College's nominees this year were:

Luc Robert - Visual Arts 1976
Alfred Chisholm - Business Administration 1976
Barry Ranta - Electronics Engineering Technology 1983
Marnie Simon - Correctional Worker 1995, Security Administration - Post Graduate 1997, Law and Security Administration 1998
Kareen Kotwa - Dance Arts 1999

We are so very proud of these accomplished members. Each year the Cambrian College Alumni Association puts out a 'call for nominations' to all members of the community, including employers of Cambrian grads and the faculty at the college. Names are submitted and resumes are requested. Our Selection Committee meets to make recommendations on candidates from each school of study. The Alumni Office then prepares our nominations to be submitted to the Ontario Council of Regents for selection.
